FAQs about International Shipping - the Answers

The term shipping or ship includes the commencement of shipping items in an order for multiple purchases or where the item purchased consists of components that must be shipped separately. For example, your order may consist of (1) several different items, (2) a quantity of the same item, or, (3) a single item with several component parts the size of which might require them to be shipped in separate packages. In all such orders, we endeavor to ship out individual packages together so that they arrive at the same time; however, when that is not possible, we commence shipping by shipping individual packages in the order the soonest they are available and conditions permit. In these instances, our notification to you that your order has "shipped," marks the time when shipping has commenced; it does not mean that all items in the order have shipped at that time. Except in certain circumstances or where you, our customer, has requested shipment of your order by way of commercial package delivery agents, all packages shipped internationally are mailed via Canada Post international surface delivery. All packages shipped by a method other than Canada Post will have a separate tracking number and may be independently followed. We will send you an email confirming the status of your order(s) and shipment(s). Regardless of method of shipment of your order, you agree that credit cards and debit cards are to be charged on the date of inventory reservation for the order, not the date of shipping.

Shipments to Hawaii, Alaska, and Puerto Rico require Express Delivery. Express Delivery applies only to orders placed before 3:00 PM EST Monday-Friday.

Ancestry Solutions complies with specific shipping restrictions determined by international trading regulation, as well as those contractually set by our vendors from time to time. Prices may vary by country on select products. Select brands have vendor-imposed regulations, restricting them from shipment outside of Canada.

If you add one of these items to your cart and your shipping destination is international, you will be prompted to remove it before proceeding. If you wish to continue with the purchase, you will need to change the destination address to one in Canada.

Most packages shipped via Canada Post international surface mail arrive within 14-21 business days. Please be advised that items shipped outside of Canada are often subject to taxes, brokerage, customs duties and fees levied by the destination country ("Import Fees"), value added taxes (VAT), or import consumption taxes. The recipient of the merchandise is the importer of record in the destination country and will be required to pay all of the Import Fees, duty, consumption taxes or VAT upon or prior to delivery of the shipment. All of those Import Fees, duties, taxes and other charges are entirely beyond our control, so we are unable to provide any estimate for any of those fees and/or taxes, which vary by country and can delay delivery of your shipment.

All product prices displayed on this website and in all or any of our marketing material are exclusive of all Import Fees, value added taxes (VAT), import consumption taxes or any other fees, duties or taxes levied by the receiving country.

If you refuse a shipment from Ancestry Solutions, you are responsible for the original shipping charges, any Import Fees, value added taxes (VAT), import consumption taxes or any other fees, duties or taxes levied by the receiving country that are incurred on the package, and the cost of returning the package to Ancestry Solutions. This amount will be deducted from your merchandise refund. If this amount exceeds the value of the merchandise refund, you will be charged the difference. Please email your shipping and handling questions or comments to sales@ancestrysolutions.com or call Customer Service at 289-273-6590.
