- LOWDEN, Patricia Kathleen “Patti“ - Passed away peacefully while surrounded by her family at Hospice Niagara on Sunday May 24, 2009, after a courageous battle with ALS at the age of 61. Loving mother of Scott (Rochelle) Chamberlain. Cherished grandmother of Taylor, Carter and Jackson. Patti will be sadly missed by her siblings Thomas (Mary) Lowden, Mary (Ken) Jacobs, Edward (Dolores) Lowden, Jackie (John) Boulding, Josie (Dwight) Martel and Darlene (David) Claus and fondly loved and remembered by her many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. Predeceased by her siblings Betty and Don Eaton, Doug Lowden, Jeannette Paquin and Daniel Lowden. The family extends a special thank you to the staff and volunteers of Hospice Niagara for their compassionate care. Also, a heartfelt thank you and appreciation to Aunt Mary and Uncle Ken for their dedication, love and care for Patti during this difficult time. Family and friends will be received at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. on Wednesday May 27 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Celebration of Patti's Life will be held on Thursday May 28, 2009 at 11 a.m. in the George Darte Funeral Chapel with cremation to follow.
