Elizabeth Ruck and her children: Joshua aged 3 years and Harriott aged 2 years be removed from Maidstone back to Leeds.
This removal takes place shortly after the disappearance of Denny Ruck, her husband, from the Maidstone militia lists. I surmise that he was either killed while in action, been taken prisoner in France or had fled the area. In any event, Elizabeth and her two children definitely fell upon hard times and became a financial burden to Maidstone parish union.
