      This burial is supported by the notation that appeared with the christening of John wherein his mother, Mary, was referred to as the widow of Robert.

      John Hill and Mary Bickle, both of this parish.
      Note: There is a dual marriage of a Richard Bickle to Grace James at Halwell-by-Holsworthy on the very same day. This could be a lead in determining who my Mary Bickle's parents may have been.

      The witness, William Hill, helps to somewhat indicate that there was a close relationship between a William Hill and this fellow, Robert. Inasmuch as both William and Robert were married at Beaworthy or christened children at Beaworthy, there is an indication of a strong tie to the parish other than just employment.
