      Hi,

Thank you for your e-mail. I've taken a look at the entry and the
writing in the left hand column does not appear to refer to an RCE, but
rather to a 'Clerical Error' in one of the columns, although the writing
is so faint I am unable to make out which column. I hope this is of some
      help.

      Regards,

      Roslyn Robertson

      Issue: Incorrect/Illegible Image (cannot read)
Problem: Concerning the image of a marriage
1889 on the 27th day of July at Hillocks, Udny, Aberdeenshire, between
Robert Youngson, groom, and Helen Barclay, bride:

There is writing in the left-hand margin next to this certificate that I
am unable to read. I would appreciate it if you would advise me what
the writing says and if there is a "Register of Corrected Entries"
available, should the same be referred to in the illegible portion.

      Thank you for your assistance.
