IN THE NAME OF GOD, AMEN, this is the last Will and Testament of me, RICHARD WALKER, of Bethersden, in the County of Kent, churgun [sic: surgeon?] hereby revoking and disannulling all other and former Wills and Testaments whatsoever made and ordained the seventh day of February in the five and thirtieth year of the reign of our sovereign Lord Charles the Second by the Grace of God of England, Scotland, France and Ireland, King, defender of the faith, etc., and in the year of our Lord God 1682/3 in manner and form following (viz)
First, I commend my soul to God who inspired it, my body to the earth, there to be decently interred, according to the discretion of my Executrix hereafter named,
Item I do will and devise unto my two grandsons WILLIAM and RICHARD SMALL five pounds a piece of good and lawful money of England to be paid unto them severally, within three months after my Executrix decease,
Item I do will and devise unto my daughter CICELIA SMALL the wife of WILLIAM SMALL of Halden, in the County of Kent, victualler, the sum of ten pounds of good and lawful money of England to be paid unto her within three months after my Executrix decease, to be paid by my sons GEORGE and NICHOLAS WALKER, and in case my grandchild or daughter SMALL shall happen to die before the said Executrix then their said sums to come unto the said WILLIAM SMALL to be used by him so long as he lives and then to return unto my said sons GEORGE and NICHOLAS and my daughter MARTHA to be equally divided betwixt them.
Item I do give and devise unto my daughter MARTHA WALKER the sum of twenty pounds of good and lawful money of England for her person to be paid unto her at her age of one and twenty years, or day of marriage which shall first happen, and if my Executrix do in the meantime with the interest and profits of the said monies take care to bring up my said daughter MARTHA, and in case the said MARTHA should die before she accomplish either the age of twenty-one years, or the day of her marriage, I will that the said twenty pounds be divided in equal portions betwixt my sons GEORGE and NICHOLAS WALKER and my said daughter CICELIA SMALL, and paid to them within three months after the decease of my said Executrix, to be paid by the said GEORGE and NICHOLAS WALKER.
Item my will and meaning is that my dear wife ELIZABETH WALKER, be the sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament,
Item I do give and devise unto my said wife my dwelling house with all other buildings together with one acres of ground adjoining to the said house, which is situated in the parish of Bethersden aforesaid with the appurtenances and all so all my goods moveable and immoveable, leases, debts, bonds, bills, household stuff, books, plate, ready money, cattle and chattels whatsoever (not hereinbefore in this my Will given) and after my said Executrix decease all and every part of my said estate as aforesaid to be equally divided between my sons GEORGE and NICHOLAS WALKER.
In witness whereof to this my last Will and Testament I have set my hand and seal the day and year first above written.
