- [S69] Membership Registers, Kent Conference, 1818-1894, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, (U.S.A., Salt Lake City: Genealogical Society of Utah), Film #0086998.
Entry indicates that Edward Browning Jones was "cut-off" from membership in the Church on 7 August 1870. Unfortunately, the cause of the excommunication was not included.
- [S69] Membership Registers, Kent Conference, 1818-1894, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, (U.S.A., Salt Lake City: Genealogical Society of Utah), Film #0086998.
The date reflected in these registers may well be the date on which Edward Browning Jones received his blessing and induction to the Church. This would account for the anomly between his christening date in the Oare church registers and this date. Child's name is also recorded as "Henry Browning Jones". Further indicating a lack of familiarity with the Jones family.
