    • Caroline married George Hilton, a grocer from Hythe on 6 Sept 1841 at the parish church in Gillingham. George's father was a Captain in the Navy. Gilbert William Kennett and Matilda Hilton witnessed the wedding. Carolines was still a minor. At the time of Caroline's death in 1846, at age 24, the family was living at St. Leonard Hythe.
