      Winsor, Earl Wilfred (1918-1989) Mariner; politician. Born Wesleyville, son of Joshua and Blanche Winsor. Educated Wesleyville; Memorial University of Newfoundland. Married Sarah Elizabeth Penney. Winsor worked as a wireless operator on the Labrador coast before joining the merchant navy in World War II. After the War he was master of several coasting and fishing vessels on the Labrador and was director of Winsor Trading Co. Ltd. With the establishment of the polictical district of Labrador North, Winsor was elected as a Liberal MHA in 1956. From 1971 to 1979 he sat in the House as MHA for Fogo. After serving as Minister without portfolio, he was appointed Minister of Labrador Affairs in 1968, and served as Minister of Fisheries from 1970 to 1971. Winsor died on April 10, 1989.
