- Consider that she was described on the marriage as being "of Petham" and that the banns were called at both Petham and Faversham. Why? I have checked the register and can find no other Collard/Coller families there at that time, e.g. 1800.

1840, death in the sub-district of Faversham and Ospringe, in the County of Kent, #[obliterated], 17 of February 1840 at Brent Town, Preston, Elizabeth Ruck, female, aged 61 years, wife of Thomas Ruck coal porter, cause of death apoplexy, signed by the mark of Mary Ann Ray present at the death, residing at Brent Town, Preston, and registered on the 22 of February 1840.
The cause of death, apoplexy, is now known as stroke (in the vernacular) or more scientifically as a Cardiovascular Accident "CVA". Strokes and heart disease run through the descendants of Edward Gregory and Ann Ruck.

Essex Taylor married 13 May 1776 after banns, Mary Dyaper, both of Teynham. Witnesses were William Evernden and William Ivy.]
