      Be it known that I William Scotte of Iden, Sussex Esquire grant to Thomas Hamon of Nonyngton Kent Esquire, his heirs and assigns in perpetuity all my right, title, etc. of and in A yearly rent of 13s.2¼d. issuing out of lands of the said Thomas Hamon in Chyllenden, Kent, which were late of Simon Cason Also of and in a rent of 21½d. issuing out of land of the said Thomas Hamon in Chillenden aforesaid formerly of William Woodman. And of and in one other rent of 2s.2¼d. issuing out of land of the said Thomas Hamon in Chyllenden formerly of John Deerton. And also of and in 1½ issuing out of lands of the aforesaid Thomas in Chyllenden which were formerly of [blank] Vantry Which several rents of 13s.2¼d., 21½d., 2s.2¼d., and 1½d. were payable yearly at the accustomed restival and due to me the said William Scotte in my manor of Hame, in Kent since the tenements are held of the aforesaid manor by the yearly rents aforesaid And further that I the said William for me and my heirs have in perpetuity released to the said Thomas Hamon his heirs and assigns in perpetuity all and singular the fealty and other services of my manor of Hame, by which the said lands were held of the said Manor of Hame. And know further that I the aforesaid William Scotte have ratified and confirmed the right and title of the aforesaid Thomas Hamon of and in the said tenements lands and hereditaments of the said Thomas Hamon in Chyllenden aforesaid formerly of the said Simon Cason, William Woodman, John Derrton and [blank] Pantri To have and to hold to the said Thomas Hamon his heirs and assigns in perpetuity to be holden of my Manor of Hame only by the yearly rent of one farthing at the yearly festival of St. Michael the Archangel without suit of court or other Service or demand whsatsoever. Dated 14th January in the 11th year of Elizabeth Indorsed – William Scot to Thomas Hamond – the sale of quitrent due to the Manor of Ham. 11 Elizabeth one farthing due each Michaelmas.
