 The 4 January in the year 1808 I baptised Marie Elisabeth, born the 2 of this year of the legitimate marriage of Guillaume Chenard and of Marie Arsenaux, his wife, of this parish.  By Henry Chenard, the godmother Theotiste Bouthelier, uncle and aunt of the said child, the father also who all said they were unable to sign the (I believe the missing word here refers to the signing of the register) according to the ordinance.

 Marriage of Eloi Galien & Marie Chouinard:
 
 The 17 November 1829, after the publication of two banns of marriage made with the praise of our parochial mass and foregoing the exemption of the third publication, between Eloi Galien, of full age, son of Bazile Galien and Rosalie Doiron, of this parish on the one hand;  and Marie Chouinard, a minor, daughter of Guilliaume Chouinard and Marie Arseneau, of this parish, of the other part;  no impediment being uncovered and the respective parents declaring consent of the said marriage, ourself, the undersigned Missionary Priest, having their mutual assent and they having received the bridal blessing in the presence of Flavi Chouinard, Raphael Blancharde, Pierre Godin, Pierre Lantaigne, friends of the husband who were not able to sign.
