  Thursday, March 9, 1809; Issue 23450 - Gale Document Number Y3200650788Ran Away from his master, Mr Robert Newcombe, of Sourton, in the county of Devon, Benjamin Stanbury, a parish apprentice, about 17 years old, fair complexion, small face, dark brown hair, and about 4 feet 6 inches high; wore away a fustian jacket, leather breeches and woollen stockings. Whoever harbours the said apprentice, after this public notice, will be prosecuted according to law.Dated 1st March, 1809. ================================================================ Benjamin was a labourer and he and Nann lived firstly at Horrabridge, then Froure Hill Wood and then Buckland. At the time of the 1851 census they were living at 28 Milton, Buckland Monachorum.) Died age 53.) Both brothers worked in the Bank Pit coal mine in the Devonside.
