      Nicol - Exner Vows made Saturday at Church of Cross Aug 24 1946

      Nuptial vows were exchanged at the Lutheran Church of the Cross, August 24 at 4: 30 p.m., when Matilda Exner became the bride of Gordon Simpson Nicol. the bride is the daughter of William Exner of Winnipeg, and the bridegroom is the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. John Nicol. Rev. H. Honnebein officiated. Miss T. Krempin presided at the organ and Mrs. G. Youngson, cousin of the bridegroom, was soloist.

      The bride wore white net, the moulded bodice fashioned with a silk lace yoke and lily point sleeves. The skirt was bouffant. A halo headdress held her long veil and she carried white gladioli.

      Mrs. Alma Stephens was her sister's matron of honor and George Nicol was best man. Ushers were Charles Lindstrom and Jack Nicol.

      A reception was held at the St. Charles hotel. Following a short honeymoon the bridal couple will reside in Winnipeg.
